World's Largest Indoor Bike Park
Newly opened this month is the largest indoor bike park in the world, located in Louisville, Kentucky. Consisting of 17 miles of corridors and caverns, zip lines, a rope course, and an event space, this new underground off-road bike course was designed to be enjoyed all year round. Built in an abandoned limestone mine 100 feet under Louisville, the course houses 45 trails, jump lines, pump tracks, slalom courses and more. Thanks to the distance of rock in between the course and the outdoors, the climate is temperate and mild, regardless of the weather happening 100 feet of rock above. The only one of its kind in the world, the bike course will begin renting out bikes starting April 2015, for $24 USD per person for half a day.
Nike Unveils 2015 U.S. National Soccer Team Away Kit
Nike has unveiled the new away kits for the U.S. National Soccer Teams, showcasing the teams’ immense national pride through a blue gradient. USWNT will don the redesigned jerseys just in time for the Algarve Cup in Portugal, prominently featuring two stars above the team badge, representing their two World Cup wins — in 1991 and 1999. USMNT will rock the redesigned kits for the first time in a friendly against Switzerland on March 25th. Boasting a distinct contemporary style with a blue gradient, the jersey’s V-neck collar blends in with a pop of red to ensure that the national colors are all represented. Inside the back of the neck is a pennant with 13 stripes in red and white, representing the original colonies that declared independence and formed the first states. Players’ names and numbers will be printed on the back with a special angular font — reminiscent of American varsity sports. As for the away shorts, they are dark blue with a white stripe for continuity, aligned with the white stripes on the jersey. Check out the new kits above, and let us know what you think of the redesigned away kits.
